Partnerships
Farm Lab is evidence that public/private partnerships have the power to change what is possible by either entity alone. We are fortunate to have on-site partners and a district partner supporting our programming opportunities and community outreach.
BeeWorthy Farms is a woman owned, organic cut flower farm that leases the south 1-acre of Farm Lab. Their collaborative approach to farming offers a win-win relationship, both beautifying the property and lending a hand and/or expert perspective on main farm projects. Flowers are sold wholesale to OB People's Co-Op and florists.
The YMCA hosts after school care in the DREAMS campus classrooms. In exchange for the use of our learning spaces, they bus ALL EUSD students to their DREAMS learning experiences at Farm Lab. This partnership is critical for program sustainability. We are so grateful for this mutually beneficial relationship!
BCK Programs, our district's environmental education consultants, support our vermicomposting work and have partnered with Farm Lab on waste diversion initiatives, grant funded student engagement opportunities, the annual Eco Literacy Showcase, and district Green Team work. Looking forward to many more collaborations with this incredible team!
